in love I am with charcoal? Well, if you were doubting my truly emotional feelings, here's some artwork that should help change your mind:

I really wanted the tree on the bottom to
stand out against the background. At first I thought I was achieving this by making it darker than the rest, putting it on the same plane as the
somewhat stormy sky at the top of the picture.
BUTTheProf told me that I should make it
black. So I did.

And not only do I think it turned out mighty amazing, but it gives it a totally mysterious and slightly ominous eerie feeling. Most definitely of the Halloween inspiration.
