Haven't done one of these in a while because I'm picky and I feel like IHeartFaces started off meaning well, but now is for mostly those people who are/consider themselves to be photographers and they all have DSLR cameras. Since I'm still pretty amateur with my little Nikon Coolpix I'm pretty much out of the running for all of the contests.
Anywho you're all tired of hearing my rant so on with the pictures!
i hear ya! every time i see who won the week's contest i get annoyed. mostly pro's... at least that is what it seems!
ReplyDeleteps song #13 is one of my all time favs.
Don't give up! While I have a DSLR, I started with a point and shoot. I fooled people with it. They didn't know the photos were point and shoot.Your EYE in photography is the most important thing. develop your artistic eye. Keep shooting and stay in the party!
ReplyDeleteI still use point and shoot on occasion. It's part of my photography equipment.
I must say...I've seen some pretty amazing photos with good ole point and shoots...so I don't think you're out of the running. But, that's just me. It seems with your edit, that you have a good eye and a feel for what kind of images look great (you ARE an art teacher from what I gather, right?). Like the tilt on the second edit, for example. You could SO be a contender for I Heart Faces weekly stuff! I'm sorry it's been discouraging, though. But, I hope you can enjoy it again! :) I did check out a few of your pics from previous posts so I could say I'm being honest...honestly...I really like the one of the guy that looks like he's doing an airplane thingy. :)
ReplyDeleteAnyway - like the fix-its!
I like the second one. but you didnt remove the spots? That's ok, like the colors. its vivid. love it. nice job! :D
ReplyDeleteLook at my fix-it friday photo.
