So I can't believe it's already Friday. It feels like the week has simply flown by.
Thanksgiving didn't really feel like Thanksgiving to me, but it wasn't terrible. It was just our family, but instead of having turkey like every other normal American family we ate lamb. It wasn't bad, just different.
And we had sweet potato pie instead of pumpkin. But I haven't tried any sweet potato pie yet. Mostly this is because we ate dinner around five o'clock and then I completely passed out around 7 o'clock and didn't reawaken until it was practically 11. So I missed out on dessert and had to make up for it by eating mom's homemade kootenai county fair blue ribbon winning apple pie for breakfast.
The DP, Mom and I then proceeded to doll ourselves up to go over to my grandparent's house. We helped them put up their Christmas tree and some other heavy duty decorating things around their house.
Grandpa treated some of his favorite women to some nice Red Robin burgers as well. I never used to eat at RR until we got one in our town and my small group girls liked it. That wasn't until I was either a junior or senior in high school. And now it's like I eat there all the time.
Prince and I went to eat there for our one year anniversary. The problem is that we eat so fast we spent a grand total of 30 minutes inside the restaurant before heading back to his house. We were gone for less than an hour. This is a problem because then Prince spent the whole next day hearing from his mom that I must've hated the meal because I ate it so fast.
So. Not. True.
Anyway, once we're back at college in a mere two days *gasp* hopefully we'll do some crazy things and I'll have more funny stories to send your way. I mean, what's so funny about a grown 19 year old girl falling asleep at 7 o'clock at night? Come on! That's what old people do! Oh. Right. Yeah, I know. No need to remind me. Once you hit 18 it's all downhill from there. And I'm past that already! Sheesh!
Next August I'll be 20! Oh boy. Don't tell my mother. She doesn't want to hear it!
Oh, don't worry, I *definitely* fell asleep from 7 pm to about 9 pm on Thursday. No big deal. Also -- I'll be 20 in July, and my mom keeps telling me that she's 29. I'm really interested to know how a 9 year old had a child... :)
ReplyDeleteOh, but it's so true, love. It is all downhill from here.
ReplyDeleteRemember last year? I'd be passed out around 3pm just hoping for enough sleep to make it through when work came around at 7pm. That's bad. xD
