And I know what you mean, the more books I read the more I want to write =)Nataliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00534598705184827031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6402377023838609944.post-27692430052409690512013-01-23T20:04:20.418-08:002013-01-23T20:04:20.418-08:00Oh Nat, you are so like me. Mom went to the library and got me 4 books and by the end of the day, I'd read them all. I mean, how big can a 3rd grade level reading be? I begged her to get me more so she went off to the library once again. As fate would have it, I got over my mumps in two weeks and was just ready to go back to school when I woke up with the other side of my face all swollen. I'd given the mumps to my room-mate sister and she, in turn, had given them back to me. So since 3rd grade, I have devoured book after book after book.

My mom used to yell at me to get my nose out of the book and go outside and play. But that was never as much fun as reading Nancy Drew's latest mystery or any of the others I followed at the time. In the 9th grade I read Gone With The Wind and that launched my desire to get into more grown up books. Today, that is still my favorite book.

As an adult, I check almost every mystery book out of the local library. I think I've read every Agatha Christie book she ever wrote. Never once did I figure out who the killer was. She was that good of a writer.

I still read constantly. I am never without a book beside my bed and can read long into the night.

Funny how soul mates, generations apart, are so alike.

Love you,

OmaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04516228383672051397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6402377023838609944.post-59915584122737195192013-01-22T07:14:01.869-08:002013-01-22T07:14:01.869-08:00This is inspiring! When I was little, I used to play as if I was in one of my favorite books. I'd spend hours.. just me and my imagination. I think that's one of the biggest blessings of reading.. it gives you the most amazing imagination.
By the way, I'm glad you enjoyed the Hunger Games. I'm definitely a fan.. hahaAlanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16786894817766961634noreply@blogger.com
